We are Southern Exposure of Tampa, Florida -- a gay male nudist group which was formed in March of 1991. At our first organizational meeting, we had 31 interested individuals. We felt there was a definite need for our type of club here in the Tampa Bay area and we have not been proven wrong. While members have come and gone over the years, we currently enjoy a membership of more than 90 fellow gay nudists in our area.

We hold two main events each month as well as our monthly Board meetings to which all members are cordially invited. Our main social gatherings usually take place on the third Saturday of the month. We meet in the homes of various gracious club members who are willing to host our gatherings with attendance generally running between 30 to 40 members and guests.

They consist of a pot luck dinner where we get to show off what good cooks we are (or not), and they provide an opportunity to socialize with each other as individuals who enjoy a nudist life style. This is followed by a business meeting to discuss common interests of our members as they pertain to Southern Exposure and also other gay nudist organizations and events.

Our other event is a Buff Night held at the homes of members on the first Saturday of the month. Buff Night may be a movie, playing games or an event a host is interested in offering. This is another opportunity to socialize as gay nudists and to get to know your fellow nudist, as these are smaller events.

At the end of our first year, the Board planned and provided a free event known as the Anniversary Bash to recognize the support of the membership throughout the year. This tradition has been maintained during the history of our club and has become one of the highlights among our various events.

We try to maintain contact with other gay nudist clubs across the nation by a newsletter exchange. If your club does not presently exchange with us, and you would like them to, let them know! We always welcome the opportunity to meet new friends from other gay nudist groups. Sometimes we try to get a few people together, even if there is nothing special planned, just to welcome visitors from other groups. So, if you are in our neck of the woods, don't be shy.
