December Gathering December 21stThe December 2007 gathering will be a held on December20th at 5 p.m. at the home of Jack & Richard. Members bringing a dish to share will be charged $3; members without a dish will be charged $8. This will be our Christmas Party with HOBO Gift Exchange

President's Podium Is everyone keeping warm? November came in like a lamb, quickly turned into a …..wait a minute, wrong month. To paraphrase a once famous person, this is the kind of weather to curl up in bed with a good book or someone who’s read one. Damn! I wish Richard would read more? We look forward to the snow birds returning, but you don’t have to bring the weather with you. It’s one of the reasons we move down here is to get away from the cold. November is almost over and it won’t be long before year end. We had a busy month with Ted hosting both events. Thanks Ted! Game night was attended by 11 members and the gathering was attended by 14 members and 2 guests. Ted did the traditional turkey rolls, we brought stuffing and gravy and the rest of the meal was a delight with a variety of side dishes and, of course pumpkin pie. It was a pretty good Thanksgiving feast. Everyone looked good in their (Ted’s) ties. Most of us forgot. We had the usual raffle and had 8 VCR tapes and 6 DVD’s. The Board has decided to get rid of the mail box, as most inquiries are sent directly to Ted, should save us a few bucks a year. You can come to a board meeting and see your board laboring over these kinds of issues too. You’re more than welcum. The next one is Jan 18th at Jack & Richard’s in Pinellas Park. We will be featuring Richard in this month’s “Who are we column”. Wonder if I’m going to learn anything about him? You certainly can, just read the article. Speaking of which, if anyone would like to submit something for the newsletter, please send directly to Richard and we will do our best to get it published in an upcoming newsletter. December will be busy for most of us; SE events, Christmas parties and gatherings, greeting old and new friends. With the season rapidly approaching, please mark your calendars for Dec. events. Liam will be hosting game night 12/6 at 6pm. Seating is limited so be sure to RSVP so you won’t miss out. I must say Liam is one heck of a host and knows how to entertain! Richard and I will be hosting the Dec. gathering on 12/20 starting a 5pm. Be sure to bring a “Hobo Gift” for the exchange. Looking for a gift? Perhaps something someone gave you and you just can’t wait to pass on to someone else; or something you’ve had around the house for a few years and keep forgetting to take to Good Will; or spend no more than $5.00 and bring something new. In the Hobe Gift department, size doesn’t matter, as for that fact neither does taste. It is a misconception that all gays have good taste in everything, clothes, jewelry, decorating, etc. Well, it just ain’t true! So for the Hobo Gift be creative, tasteless and most of all look forward to having a good time! Well so much for my ramblings, everyone try to stay warm and naked. Jack

The November gathering was a great success with sixteen people attending our thanksgiving meal including two guests. Anyone wishing to sponsor a movie night may do so at Ted’s place at whatever time you desire. Simply provide the film of your choice to be shown and you are welcome to use Ted’s facility. The club is offering a website for those who wish to purchase souvenirs with the club logo. Check the site . www.cafepress.com/se_tampa Please avail yourself to the selection of movies that the club now has in a film library thanks to the generosity of Stewart. This library of DVD films is being managed by Seth who will send you a list of the films upon request. The library of films is available for personal use as well as future movie buff evenings. We still have one towel for sale at twenty dollars along with seven white hats at twenty dollars each. The club appreciates the donations and generosity of the members who give their support at our monthly functions. We are still giving away those special raffle prizes that were donated in past months. We appreciate the on the spot donations of Gary F. and Larry W. We need hosts for the coming year of 2009 and would appreciate your making reservations for your preferred month ahead of time so we can better plan our events. Remember smaller events are good at times and you can limit the number of attendees to further enhance the nudist experience. Want to take this opportunity to wish those members who are under the weather a speedy and healthy recovery. You can send cards or call our members who are sick as their names are listed in our club directory. Plan now for the vacation of a lifetime with the twenty-fifth anniversary of GNI next August 2009. Note: there is now a special form on the SE web site for you to make your personal address and email changes and thus inform the appropriate people to keep your records up to date! Please make use of this added feature. Some of you have not done so and can not be contacted when it comes time for your renewals. This will help insure your receiving the newsletter and renewals on time. Also, please use the added Guest Pass feature on our web site when requesting a guest pass for your guests in the future.
